AHMEDABAD: He made headlines earlier this year when he knifed former Haryana DGP SPS Rathore who was then an accused in the Ruchika Girhotra molestation case, outside a Chandigarh court.
Utsav Sharma (30) who quietly graduated from premier design institute National Institute of Design (NID) recently, has decided to go it alone. Sharma did not participate in the campus placements by corporates and decided to work on independent projects.
“I will be satisfied if I earn enough to buy me basic comforts like a car and a home in a peaceful place,” he told TOI. Unwilling to even refer to the episode that made him famous, Sharma said he preferred working on independent projects for clients. “I may start my own business venture later.
The one thing I am clear about is that I want to move on in life in a positive way,” he said. Sharma, who is working on a couple of projects, including interface design and interior design for some companies, is a bachelor in fine arts from
Banaras Hindu University. He joined NID to study animation film design. Talking about his liking for the city, he said he will be staying in Ahmedabad for the next two years at least. “Life is very peaceful here as compared to other cities like Delhi and Mumbai. Opportunities for a designer are also no less here. Moreover, the world is shrinking and it does not make much difference where you stay,” he added.
